Who is Hello ASO?

ASO is often mistaken as SEO but for mobile apps. But the process and the limitations are very different. Making your mobile app visible is hard and it takes time - it’s a long term game and we know how to do it right. Imagine you have a physical store in a particular location, but no one can find it. Now imagine the same situation digitally - it becomes impossible.

How many keywords should I use?

Firstly, using the right keywords is crucial. Understand the keywords that your competitors are using, your category/domain keywords and your general application keywords are crucial. Research helps you understand which keyword you need to use and build a dictionary, but we would recommend 2000 keywords per application.

What is better? Play Store or App Store? 

This requires further analysis on your application and the category you are targeting. If you are looking to still launch a mobile application, we would recommend you to analyze on which OS your users are mostly active and launch your MVP on that. Based on our experience, different regions and different categories have variable downloads.

Should I target a specific country first?

We always recommend our client to start the process with 1/2 countries based on market research as this helps you gain momentum, see results with a filtered focus. Once you start seeing results, you can expand to 4-6 more countries.

Why can’t I just run paid ads in the store?

Paid is a good way to boost your reach, but we never recommend our client to go paid first. Because it’s important to clean up your initial application’s visibilities to match the algorithm, only then you should start paid ads. Think of this as a foundation of your application, once it’s solid - you can use paid ads to boost it’s reach. But always remember, that paid ads give a boost and are not always sustainable in the long run. Organic reach is sustainable, as you have end users finding your app organically.
